Privacy Policy
Camurj is a Chrome extension that provides a library of prompts in the browser side panel. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles, where it goes, and what it is used for. Camurj has no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.
Summary
- No account or sign-up is required to use Camurj.
- No personal information is collected.
- No analytics, tracking pixels, advertising, or third-party trackers are used.
- Your favourites and recently used prompts are stored only on your own device.
- Prompt text is sent off your device only when you use the "Check your prompt" feature.
- No data is ever sold, rented, or shared for marketing purposes.
Data stored on your device
Camurj saves two things locally in your browser's storage: the prompts you mark as favourites, and a short list of prompts you have recently used. This data never leaves your computer, is not transmitted to any server, and is not accessible to anyone but you. Removing the extension deletes it.
Clipboard
When you use the copy or send actions, Camurj writes the selected prompt text to your system clipboard so you can paste it where you need it. This is a local operating-system function. Camurj does not read your clipboard, and does not monitor its contents.
Opening prompts in Claude or Gemini
When you choose "Try on Claude", "Try on Gemini", or "Open in Desktop", Camurj opens a new browser tab at the corresponding site and places your prompt text into that page's own input box. The text is passed directly to the site you selected. Camurj does not read the page, does not record what you send, and does not receive any response back. Your use of Claude or Gemini is governed by those services' own privacy policies, not this one.
The "Check your prompt" feature
This is the only feature that sends data off your device. When you write a prompt in the composer and request an improved version, the text you typed is sent to a server operated by Camurj, which forwards it to the Anthropic API to generate the rewritten version. The rewritten text is returned to your browser and shown to you.
The text you submit is used only to produce that result. It is not stored, logged for content, used to build a profile of you, or used to train any model by Camurj. Processing by Anthropic is subject to Anthropic's own privacy and data-handling policies.
Because this text is transmitted to a third-party service for processing, do not paste confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying information into the prompt composer.
Permissions the extension requests
Each permission Camurj requests exists to support a feature you can see and trigger yourself:
- Side panel — displays the extension interface.
- Storage — saves your favourites and recent prompts locally.
- Clipboard — copies prompt text when you choose a copy or send action.
- Tabs — opens Claude or Gemini in a new tab when you choose to send a prompt there.
- Scripting, limited to
claude.aiandgemini.google.com— places your prompt into the composer on those two sites only, immediately after you click. It runs nowhere else and reads nothing from the page.
Children
Camurj is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If the way Camurj handles data changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Material changes will also be noted in the extension's store listing.
